Lucky Lounge Etc.

Thanks to Kerri at Harley K Photography for the great new pictures. The word hot comes to mind–possibly because the A/C was out. Kevin still braved woven his beanie. That’s commitment. He and Reverend Gibbons should never be pictured without theirs.

It’s odd to play and ‘be shot at.’ Hard for me. Kevin–old pro that he is–had no issues.

Which reminds me: when I started playing with Kevin one of the first things that occurred to me was that nobody (almost ever) really cared what it was that I was doing–so long as I was doing what it was that I was supposed to be doing correctly. All eyes on Kevin all the time. Bruised ego aside, this is really a bass player’s dream. From an audience perspective, I’ve seen Kevin countless times, and I always payed attention to the bass solely out of cattiness.

Anyway, thanks again to Kerri for the pictures.

The Lucky Lounge shows are really coming along. It’s great to have a place to really hone in on what we’re trying to do. The staff is great and super accommodating–and friendly. They care about their jobs, and they seem to really like what they do. That’s pretty rare. Free Pizza Rolls don’t hurt either.

Next show is on the 16th. We hope to see a bunch of you out. And as an added incentive, it’s bring a friend night. Every new person get’s a free CD. So bring all of your friends. We like new folks.

You know they’ll like us.
